Upgrading the University: VFIS Expands Online Fire/EMS Classes

YORK, Pa.  – VFIS is proud to announce the roll-out of new expansions and enhancements to the distance learning opportunities at VFIS University (VFISu). After working hand-in-hand with clients to focus on their wishes and needs, VFIS expanded class offerings, added features to better manage training plans and records, and improved system performance for users. “Today’s responders need increased opportunities and flexibility to complete training – VFISu helps make that possible,” said Bill Jenaway, VFIS executive vice president of Education, Training and Consulting. “The additional classes and enhancements make completing fire and EMS courses online even easier for them.” New classes include Distracted Driving, Lockout-tagout for Fire & EMS Personnel and Recommendations Related to Reducing Known Risk of Cancer in Firefighters, all available to individuals and emergency service departments. In addition to the classes, VFISu also offers the ability to create department-wide lists and assignments, assign and (if necessary) purchase courses in a few simple steps and allow chief officers to run query reports on their members.
