Factors affecting post-discharge outcomes in hospital patients with non-surgical neurological diseases (S48.003)
Conclusions:Discharge outcomes are affected by multiple factors. Some of these (post-discharge call back, timely scheduling of follow-up visits and tests) can be remediated through readily implementable institutional protocols which can increase healthcare quality and reduce costs. Interestingly disease severity (mRS or cognitive status) did not affect discharge outcomes.Disclosure: Dr. Galla has nothing to disclose. Dr. Alkhalifah has nothing to disclose.
