Bilateral Bells Palsy Associated with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Disease : A Case Report (P4.053)

Conclusions:This case highlights the importance of early recognition of VKHS syndrome in patients who present with focal neurological signs associated with a history of ocular disease and cutaneous findings. VKH is considered a severe inflammatory disease that requires prompt recognition and early initiation of immunosuppresive treatment to preserve visual acuity. Early diagnosis can facilitate appropriate tailoring of therapy for recurrent episodes which can occur in as many as 25% of patients with VKH syndrome.Disclosure: Dr. Lai has nothing to disclose.
