Quantum EMS Solutions Announces their Acr-4 Ambulance Child Restraint System Meets and Exceeds Weight NASEMSO Pediatric Restraint Guidelines

LAKE SUCCESS, NY, March 21, 2017– Quantum EMS Solutions announces that their Ambulance Child Restraint System-4 safely restrains all children from 4-99 pounds. Kris Bordnick, Vice-President of EMS North America, issued the following statement regarding the announcement: “We are pleased to announce that the weight range for the ACR-4 meets and exceeds the child restraint weight range recommendations of the 2017 National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO) Safe Transport of Children by EMS: Interim Guidance. The Quantum Ambulance Child Restraint System, (ACR-4) is the only device on the market that can restrain all children from 4-99 pounds.” The NASEMSO document states that: “ ·   EMS agencies should have appropriately-sized child restraint system(s) readily available on all ambulances that may transport children. ·  Additionally, personnel should be initially and recurrently evaluated and trained on the correct use of those restraint systems ·  The device(s) should cover, at minimum, a weight range of between five (5) and 99 pounds (2.3 - 45 kg), ideally supporting the safest transport possible for all persons of any age or size.   Additionally, Bordnick added, “Quantum EMS Solutions goal is to insure the safe restraint of all children during transport in an ambulance.
