Some scientists such as Béchamp tried to stress out that the terrain is much more important than the bug and even Pasteur in the last days of his life recognized that. Claude Bernard stated that homeostasis was fundamental to keep people from getting infections. Antibiotics are indeed important to treat severe bacterial infections or specially infections on immune-suppressed patients. However, if we disregard the terrain, people often get sick again. Classical homeopathy is a good, effective and ecological way to treat infections. With the right homeopathic treatment, people gain much more resistance to infections and the recuperation of inter-current infections is more rapid (as Samuel Hahnemann proved) because homeostasis is reached.
