Service animals for psychiatric illness
Talking specifically about service animals for anxiety disorders or PTSD.
Isn't this kind of thing just a more advanced version of avoidance? In other words, is it counter-productive in the long-run - as the animal is essentially used to distract people from their feared stimuli/emotions?
