Pitt researchers receive grant to study wearable hybrid exoskeleton

University of Pittsburgh researchers have received an award from the National Science Foundation ’s Cyber program to develop an ultrasound sensor system for a hybrid exoskeleton that utilizes both electrical nerve stimulation and external motors to help minimize muscle injury and fatigue while helping disabled patients walk.
