Triad hospitals restrict visitor access because of flu virus

Area hospitals have implemented — or announced plans to implement — temporary visiting restrictions because of an outbreak of the flu virus. At most area hospitals, the restrictions will take effect at 7 a.m. Friday. Those restrictions specify that children 12 or under are not allowed in any hospital facilities.
