DNA Virus Reactivation after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (allo-HSCT)
Background: Allo-HSCT is curative for a variety of malignant and nonmalignant diseases. Unfortunately, immunosuppression after allo-HSCT is associated with reactivation of latent DNA viruses such as Herpes simplex, cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and adenovirus (Adv). Reactivation of these viruses increases the risks of complications after allo-HSCT.
