Reliance On Medical Record Reviews Was Reasonable, Court Rules

ATLANTA - An ERISA-governed disability insurer that relied on medical record reviews and surveillance video in its decision to terminate benefits to a claimant with fibromyalgia acted reasonably, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled April 15 (Kimberly Howard v. Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Co., No. 13-11619, 11th Cir.; 2014 U.S. App. LEXIS 7615).
