'Mini-guts' offer clues to pediatric GI illness
(Washington University School of Medicine) Using immature stem cells to create a miniature model of the gut in the laboratory, researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the University of Pittsburgh have determined how infection-causing enteroviruses enter the intestine.
