Secretary Kitty Rhoades Statement Regarding The Joint Finance Committee's Approval To Release Funds To Allow Expansion Of Mental Health Services

The Legislature's Joint Finance Committee today approved the release of funds to expand Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) across the State of Wisconsin. Secretary Rhoades calls it welcome news to thousands of state residents who need mental health treatment, and that it fulfills Governor Walker's commitment to improve and expand care. Wisconsin Emergency Assistance Volunteer Registry, or WEAVR, is a database of health care professionals, active and retired, who make themselves available to respond in case of a natural disaster or public health emergency. Volunteers help local response teams organize relief efforts during large scale emergencies anywhere in the state.
