World Health Organization. 12/05/2016 This five-page report describes the vector-borne diseases that pose a major threat to the health of societies around the world, including malaria, dengue, Zika virus, chikungunya, lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, yellow fever, and Japanese encephalitis. It details the draft Global Vector Control Response 2017-2030, which aims to support countries in mounting coherent and coordinated efforts to counter the increasing burden and threat of vector-borne diseases. Abstract In this work, we report a develop of electrochemical immunosensor based on ZnO nanostructures immobilized with ZIKV-NS1 antibody on Printed Circuit Board (PCB). ZnO nanostructures were grown on PCB by chemical bath deposition (CDB) and characterized by SEM. ZIKV-NS1 antibody was immobilized on the ZnO nanostructures surface via cystamine and glutaraldehyde. In this study, we phenotypically characterized the expression of T cell inhibitory(PD-1, CTLA-4) and senescent markers (CD28(-), CD57) from children with symptomatic malaria, asymptomatic malaria and healthy controls using flow cytometry. We observed increased expression of T cell exhaustion and senescence markers in the symptomatic children compared to the asymptomatic and healthy controls.
