S4PM as an International Society

Antarctica appears to be the only continent not represented by the Society for Participatory Medicine’s (S4PM) membership.  We’re fortunate having like-minded members from: Brazil Canada Germany India Ireland Israel Japan Mexico New Zealand Norway Philippines Qatar Romania South Africa Spain Sweden Switzerland UK as part of our growing member base to provide diverse perspectives on successful participatory medicine. This month’s newsletter celebrates this international asset with an eye toward growing our membership base outside the USA.  Based on input I received asking for stories and testimonies from international members, I’ve compiled those submitted last month.  Additionally, our guest columnist Heather Hansen writes of lost in translation avoidance in participatory medicine.  We’re looking forward to hearing from you on how best to think globally and act locally as a society and as always, you can reach me by phone +1 585 993 8265 or email Hoben.john@gmail.com anytime. Sincerely, John Hoben
