Heart Conduction Problems from Lyme Carditis?

To the authors of “The ‘Normal’ Heart: Fascicular Ventricular Tachycardia”1: Tell us more about your 51-year-old man with unexplained right bundle branch block and regular broad complex fascicular tachycardia. At what time of year did he develop the arrhythmia? If he had dogs or enjoyed the great outdoors, mi ght he have Lyme carditis due to Borrelia spirochetes? If so, amiodarone and anti-arrhythmic drugs might be given with Lyme antibiotics, such as intravenous ceftriaxone and at least 3 weeks of oral doxycycline.
