We would like to thank Dr. Kawada for his interest in our research [1]. We agree that there might be an interrelation between retinal microvascular changes, dairy product consumption, and metabolic syndrome; however, this is not yet elucidated. To our knowledge, no relative studies have been conducted. Additionally, based on existing data, there are many inconsistent findings regarding the individual associations of (i) dairy products with metabolic syndrome, (ii) dairy products with retinal microvascular changes, and (iii) retinal microcirculation with metabolic syndrome.
