State Government R & D Expenditures Total More than $2.2 Billion in FY 2015

State government agency expenditures for research and development totaled $2.2 billion in FY 2015, an increase of 16.9% from FY 2014. Five state governments (California, New York, Florida, Texas, and Ohio) accounted for 61% of all state government R&D in FY 2015, an increase from 59% in FY 2014.
