Tobacco Use and HIV in Low and Middle Income Countries (R01)

Funding Opportunity PAR-17-087 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to encourage research focused on tobacco use and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in low and middle income countries (LMICs). In particular, applications are encouraged that focus on the development and evaluation of tobacco cessation interventions tailored to HIV positive populations, including those with co-morbidities such as tuberculosis (TB), in low-resource settings in LMICs. This FOA provides funding for research planning, intervention delivery, and follow-up activities.
