New Discovery May Reduce the Cost of MRI Machine

Prof S Ramakrishnan, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and team from Mumbai have discovered superconductivity in Bismuth. MRI machines use superconductors made of an alloy called Niobium-Titanium and if superconductors of Bismuth will be used, the cost of an MRI machine could come down by a 100 times.Implications of this discovery should be looked out for specially for the Cost of MRI machine, which in turn will impact the cost to patient cost per MRILink for Further Reading : http://everylifecounts.ndtv.com/mri-machines-can-cost-100-times-less-thanks-to-this-discovery-in-mumbai-7604Famous Radiology Blog http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com TeleRad Providers at www.teleradproviders.com Mail us at sales@teleradproviders.com
