Conclusion: We report a 33.9% positive yield, with 65.8% of patients undergoing further workup as a result of CE and 12.7% requiring therapeutic intervention. We conclude that CE plays an important role in the investigation of IDA and occult gastrointestinal bleeding and has important implications on further management.

Conclusion: Patients receiving health care at the Ho Teaching Hospital had different hemoglobin variants with HbAS recording the highest prevalence. The high incidence of hemoglobin AS implies the possibility of having an increased population of individuals with sickle cell disease in future if measures are not put in place to improve screening, counseling, and education of the public about the health threat SCD poses. Abstract Methods: A retrospective follow-up study was conducted among clients on ART from 2012 to 2017. Data were collected using checklists. The Kaplan-Meier curve was employed to compare survival rates. The Cox proportional hazard model was applied to identify predictors of time to development of anemia. We report here a 6-year-old Syrian boy with unexplained microcytic anemia since one year of age. Genetic analysis of the TMPRSS6 gene revealed a novel homozygous nonsense mutation in exon 3 (c.234C> G; p.Y78* or p.Tyr78*).
