N-acetylcysteine protects against star fruit-induced acute kidney injury.

CONCLUSIONS: Our data show that therapeutic NAC attenuates renal dysfunction in a model of acute oxalate nephropathy following SF ingestion by reducing oxidative stress, oxaluria, and inflammation.
