NeoTract said today it won coverage for its Urolift system from Medicare Administrative Contractor First Coast Service Options. The UroLift system for benign prostate hyperplasia uses tiny devices that are inserted into the urethra in a minimally invasive procedure to reopen the lower urinary tract by pushing aside tissue from the enlarged prostate. First Coast Service Options covers Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Pleasanton, Calif.-based company said. “We are thrilled that millions of men across the United States now have access to the UroLift System treatment.
