Hysteria Writing Competition 2014 – Latest Updates

April is always a busy time for the Hysteria Writing Competition, mostly because we launch on the 1st and then spend the month introducing our volunteer judges and telling the world the competition has begun. This year we’ve also added another element to our mix in the form of a Writer in Residence. Our WIR, Bridget Whelan is an experienced writer and creative writing teacher. Her role is to provide some insight, suggestions and ideas for everyone thinking of entering. And you can find her first blog post ready to read here: Why a writing deadline is a ‘very good thing’. I’d also like to introduce our panel of judges as well. As usual they’ve all done an interview and you’ll be able to find out the sorts of things they love to read and what they would have liked to have written themselves. Abigail Wyatt Amanda Quinn Sarah Hegarty Sophie Duffy Tracy Fells (last year’s winner) Veronica Bright Finally, the first entries have started to trickle in. So, as Bridget says, it’s time to get your pens out and start crafting your entry the time really will fly by to the 31st August.
