CONCLUSIONS: Children are especially vulnerable to this group of diseases due to characteristics that facilitate the development of the most severe forms. More detailed knowledge of this group of diseases allows the pediatrician to diagnose them earlier, implement the correct treatment, monitor warning signs for the most severe forms, and establish effective preventive measures. CONCLUSION: This study identified an asymptomatic ZIKV infection in a blood donor occurring before those previously recognized by blood donation screening. NAT and PR continue to be used as acceptable strategies to prevent transfusion-transmitted arboviral infections worldwide; however, repeated arboviral outbreaks warrant consideration of PR as a more proactive approach. ConclusionsThe incubation period of GBS follows Sartwell's model. It should be useful in confirming the association between infection and GBS in epidemiologic studies as well as to assist diagnosis and prognosis such as clinically assessing respiratory failure. It is also found that viral symptoms can occur prior to neurological symptoms, suggesting that GBS may be a parainfectious disease.
