Impressions of the 21st International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa

When Prince Harry from England, Princess Mabel from Holland, Sir Elton John, Presidents, Ministers of Health, and the elite of the world's HIV researchers compete for your attention with youth; sex worker; and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer (GLBTQ) community activists, you know you have arrived at the International AIDS Society (IAS) Conference. Colorful, loud, highly guarded, aggressive, and outspoken are the synonyms I would use to describe the audience, the topics, and the speakers.
