Correlation between Routine Parameters of Digital Rectal Examination and Expressed Prostatic Secretions and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndromes of Chronic Prostatitis

Objective: To explore and analyze the correlation of routine parameters of digital rectal examination and expressed prostatic secretions (EPS) with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes of chronic prostatitis (CP).Methods: According to features of TCM syndromes, 114 CP patients were divided into four groups: group A (syndrome of dampness-heat pouring downward), group B (syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis), group C (syndrome of yin deficiency with effulgent fire), and group D (syndrome of kidney yang deficiency).
