A comparative analysis of chaotic particle swarm optimizations for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism barcodes

Conclusion The Sinai chaotic map was found to effectively enhance the fitness values (χ2) of PSO method, indicating that the Sinai chaotic map combined with PSO method is more effective at detecting potential SNP barcodes in both the XOR and ZZ disease models.

In this study, we used qualitative methods to better understand the changes in sexual life and related care strategies for breast cancer survivors. Twenty interviews were conducted on clinical patients enrolled in hospitals that received breast cancer treatment. The data were analysed by performing a constant comparative analysis. Three themes emerged: the causes of changes in sexual life, internal response strategies and external response strategies. Ten subthemes were identified. Changes in sexual life in patients with breast cancer in this study included changes related to body image, influence of friends and family, ag...

Michael SaboAbstractThe protein ALL1 fused from chromosome 1q (AF1q) is overexpressed in a variety of cancers and acts to activate several signaling pathways that lead to oncogenesis. For example, AF1q has been shown to interact with T-cell Factor 7 (TCF7; also known as TCF1) from the Wnt/β-catenin pathway resulting in the transcriptional activation of the CD44 and the enhancement of breast cancer metastasis. Despite the impo...

Authors: Archer DF, Simon JA, Portman DJ, Goldstein SR, Goldstein I Abstract Introduction: Vulvovaginal atrophy (VVA), a component of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause, is a progressive condition due to decline in estrogen leading to vaginal and vulvar epithelial changes. Accompanying symptoms of dryness, irritation, burning, dysuria, and/or dyspareunia have a negative impact on quality of life. Ospemifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) approved by the FDA for moderate to severe dyspareunia and vaginal dryness due to postmenopausal VVA. Conclusions: Increased NK cells after NAC, together with increased CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, and decreased CTLA-4+ T cells and VEGF correlate with beneficial therapeutic effects. Systemic activation of pNK cell activity and the presence of pre-NAC TILs may improve the elimination of Ax + together with decreased immunosuppression by VEGF in tumors.

HarveyAbstractPurposeEffective written communication directly affects health care outcomes. Since 2016, the complex language of state-mandated breast density notifications (BDNs) has been challenged, as it is perceived to be beyond the comprehension of most patients. The aim of this study was to assess whether a revised BDN written at a lower reading grade level improves understanding compared with the current state-mandated BDN.Meth...
