Women ’ s empowerment vital for global development, Lithuanian leader tells UN Assembly

Only by fully empowering women can the world achieve the ambitious development goals it has set itself and confront the multiple crises and threats that beset it, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite told the United Nations General Assembly today.
