Those vital signs are important, but we seem to be missing the most important vital sign of all – our brain vital. One in four Americans suffers from conditions that affect brain function such as depression, post-traumatic stress, or Alzheimer’s. And, all of us experience times when our brain is not operating at maximum efficiency. These same observations apply when caregivers of loved ones with dementia look in the mirror.
