One-year follow-up study of first suicide attempts in first episode psychosis: Personality traits and temporal pattern

Suicide and suicide behaviour represent a challenging issue in the early phases of psychosis. Suicide is the single most important cause of premature death in the early phases of schizophrenia [1 –3]. Estimated risks of suicide during the five years following first episode of psychosis (FEP) are 18% suicide attempts (SA) and 3% completion [4].
