Mutant NPM1 MRD and FLT3-ITD Status are Independent Prognostic Factors for the Risk of Relapse in AML Patients

Recent studies reported the prognostic relevance of measurable residual disease (MRD) after induction chemotherapy in AML patients with mutated NPM1 (mNPM1mrd). However, the predictive value of FLT3-internal tandem duplication (ITD) status at diagnosis in the context of mNPM1mrd remains controversial.
