In the era of Precision Medicine, such modalities of treatment are highly implicated in the adequate choice of therapy for a wide variety of oncological diseases. This review article is about the different aspects of detection, application, and analysis of the epidermal growth factor receptor genetic mutations that constitute a key element in the initiation of targeted therapy.
