Arkansas Hospice Names Brian Bell as New Chief Medical Officer (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Brian Bell has joined Arkansas Hospice of North Little Rock as vice president and chief medical officer. Bell has worked in hospice since 2006 and he is board-certified in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. Bell previously worked as the palliative care medical director for Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in South Carolina. He has also founded and served as a program director for the palliative medicine fellowship program in South Carolina. Dr. Katherine Appleget, and obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined the Women’s Clinic at White River Health System in Batesville. Appleget is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Dr. Marc Denton Stam has joined Sparks Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery as a physician for the Fort Smith area. Denton previously practiced cardiovascular surgery at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver. Dr. Thanh Tan Le has also joined Sparks Clinic as a family practice physician at Alma Family Medical Clinic. Le graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed a family practice residency at UAMS Northeast in Jonesboro.
