Hysteria Writing Competition 2014 Launches for the Hysterectomy Association

Major Women’s Health Social Enterprise Launches 3rd International Writing Competition The Hysterectomy Association, the UK’s leading organisation for women having a hysterectomy, today announced the launch of it’s third annual Hysteria writing competition. The competition is open to any female writers of short stories, flash fiction and poetry. Top winners in each category will each receive a cash prize and publication in Hysteria 3, due for publication in November 2014. A further nine winners in each category will also have their entries included in the anthology. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 31st August 2012 and the entry fee is £5.00 for short story and £3.00 for flash fiction and poetry submissions. Entrants can submit work in any genre with the exception of Horror and Erotica. Last year’s overall winner, Tracy Fells said “This is a great competition and in support of a good cause. So if you are writing short stories then do have a go and enter this year’s competition.” All three winning entries will also be published on the Hysterectomy Association websites at the end of the year.
