Conclusions Infants of mothers who received prenatal Tdap experienced half the rate of pertussis as compared with infants of unimmunized mothers. These results do not provide evidence to support changing the currently recommended timing of Tdap administration in pregnancy.
ConclusionNot only in Italy, vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliovirus, Haemophilus influenzae type b, measles, mumps, rubella and varicella is mandatory in children under 18 months. Other European countries adopted compulsory policies in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and to protect the community.
Conclusions: Primary and booster vaccinations of infants/toddlers with DTPa-HBV-IPV/Hib and PHiD-CV coadministered with MenACWY-TT were immunogenic with clinically acceptable reactogenicity profiles. These results support the coadministration of MenACWY-TT with routine childhood vaccines.
DISCUSSION: Although the MCV wastage rate in our study was in line with national targets, providers reported waiting for more than one child before opening an MCV vial, contrary to vaccine management guidelines.
