El-Shanawany, Fumide Takano, Tomihisa Ohta Two new P-coumaroyl flavonol glycosides, Kaempferol 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl- (1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-(4 trans- P-coumaroyl)]-β-D- galactopyranoside (1) and Quercetin 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-(4 trans- P-coumaroyl)]-β-D-galactopyranoside (2) were isolated from the aerial part of Centaurium spicatum (L.) Fritsch (Gentianaceae). Structure elucidation of the new compounds was established on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR analyses including 1H, 13C NMR, DEPT-135 NMR, HH COSY, HMQC and HMBC experiments. In addition to HRFAB Mass Spectrometry. Also it is noted that these new compounds significantly increase both TNF-α and IL-1β after 48h of treatment (this level of increase of cytokines (300/200) activates the cytokines like vaccines towards invasion of microorganisms).
