Homeopathy and cancer

Representatives of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons comment: Older readers will recall a profession proud to be independent, eclectic, able to explore, expand and develop treatment options available to patients committed to its care. Individuals' experience was valued; indeed much of what we do today is based on the collective experience of the past. Members were fulfilled and graduates mentored into confident colleagues. Oft' forgotten in the EBM debate is that the collective of anecdote is evidence. Then accountants, managers, targets, marketing and disciplinaries for failure to conform appeared, experience left, and the golden goose was cooked. Now, we see a profession racked with issues, needing a ‘Mind Matters’ initiative, with falling graduate retention. Add evidence-based medicine – with more strength in title than content giving oxygen to campaigns which suppress any and all who dare question corporate mantra and it's pillars of marketing that teeter on...
