CONCLUSION: In comparison to the actual strain placed on the healthcare system, the results indicate an underrepresentation of psychiatric disorders in the second part of the German state medical examination. The distribution of specific disorders mirrors the actual distribution at least in part; however, certain practically relevant disorders are severely underrepresented.
