Ethiopia: Eradicating the Painful Disease Once and for All
[Ethiopian Herald] Guinea worm is considered to be among the painful diseases in human history and it is sometimes taken as a sign of poverty for its transmission is much related with lack of safe drinking water. Once known for its high rate prevalence worldwide, now the world is due to wrung a curtain on it. While 198 countries have become Dracunculiasis-free nations, the disease has become epidemic in four countries only. Ethiopia is one of the four Guinea Worm endemic victim countries just like Chad, Mali, and South Sudan
