Multiple White Plaques in the Body of the Stomach in a Patient Undergoing Hemodialysis

Question: A 65-year-old man with a history of rectal cancer had received hemodialysis for 7 years in treatment for diabetic nephritis. Chest radiographs showed an aggregation of high-intensity granular shadows in the left upper quadrant (Figure A, circled). Plain computed tomography showed high-density granular deposits along the lesser curvature of the stomach wall (Figure B, arrowheads). He underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy for screening, which revealed multiple white foamy plaques in the lesser curvature of the upper body of the stomach (Figure C).
