Successful Management of New-Onset Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity With the Use of Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy After Kidney Transplantation—A Case Report
We report a case of morbid obesity, poorly controlled new-onset diabetes mellitus, and gout after kidney transplantation that was treated with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy 3 years after kidney transplantation. After 1 year of follow-up, 76% excessive body weight loss was attained.
