N-Myc Downstream-Regulated Gene 2 (Ndrg2) Is Involved in Ischemia–Hypoxia-Induced Astrocyte Apoptosis: a Novel Target for Stroke Therapy

In conclusion, NDRG2 is involved in astrocyte apoptosis following ischemic–hypoxic injury, and inhibiting NDRG2 expression significantly reduces ROS production and astrocyte apoptosis. These findings provide insight into the role of NDRG2 in ischemic–hypoxic injury and provide potential targets for future clinical therapies for stroke.
