The Role Of Active Video Accompanied Exercıses In Preventing Obesity In Children: A Prospective Study From Turkey.

CONCLUSION: In conclusion, we found that an exercise program applied with active video games had positive effects on obesity, psychosocial status, and self-esteem. It is obvious that exercise and physical activity have an important role in preventing childhood obesity as well as their positive contributions to self-esteem and psychological wellness state. In this study, the exercises were made more enjoyable for the participants and therefore the participants were more willing to participate and active. We believe that making the exercises more fun by asking the participants watch videos will further encourage them to exercise and therefore may be more effective in preventing childhood and adolescent obesity.
