Authors: Fung C, Dinh P, Ardeshir-Rouhani-Fard S, Schaffer K, Fossa SD, Travis LB Abstract Testicular cancer has become the paradigm of adult-onset cancer survivorship, due to the young age at diagnosis and 10-year relative survival of 95%. This clinical review presents the current status of various treatment-related complications experienced by long-term testicular cancer survivors (TCS) free of disease for 5 or more years after primary treatment. Cardiovascular disease and second malignant neoplasms represent the most common potentially life-threatening late effects. Other long-term adverse outcomes include neuro...

A top question underlying clinical research is, “How can we do better?” One of the easiest opportunities for advancing reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is to take familiar procedures and slightly modify them in order to provide more efficient or effective care than previously achieved. Managing cervical ectopic pregnancy with methotrexate and potassium chloride through technique parallel to follicular aspiration allows safer and more effective treatment than with dilation and curettage or systemic methotrexate.

Abstract Proline-, glutamic acid-, and leucine-rich protein 1 (PELP1) is a scaffolding protein involved in both genomic and nongenomic estrogen signal transduction pathways. To date, the role of PELP1 protein has yet to be characterized in human sperm and has not been associated with sperm parameters. To confirm the presence of PELP1 in human sperm, fresh semen samples were obtained from 178 donors. The study was designed to establish both mRNA and protein presence, and protein cellular localization. Additionally, the number of PELP1-positive spermatozoa was analyzed in men with normal and abnormal semen parameter...
