Elevated FVIII Predicts Subsequent Acute Ischemic Stroke in Patients with Transient Ischemic Attack (S42.004)
CONCLUSIONS: In our sample, eFVIII was associated with increased risk of a subsequent AIS admission. These findings may indicate a greater risk for other future thrombotic events in post-TIA patients with eFVIII and begs the question as to optimal antithrombotic therapy in this population.Disclosure: Dr. Semmes has nothing to disclose.
