The VALVAFRIC study: A registry of rheumatic heart disease in Western and Central Africa.

CONCLUSIONS: Patients with RHD hospitalized in sub-Saharan Africa are young, socially disadvantaged, with a high mortality rate and extremely low access to surgery.
