(MedPage Today) -- Case Findings: A 42-year-old woman presented with a fever, chills, and a well-defined blanching patch. Bullae were beginning to form. She said that she felt a burning skin sensation and the area was tender to the touch. She couldnt think of anything that brought on the problem except that she had an insect bite in the same area several days before, but she had thought little of it at the time.
