Lymphocyte depletion and subset alteration correlate to renal function in chronic kidney disease patients.

CONCLUSIONS: Lymphocyte depletion and subset alteration occurred during the progress of CKD. Further studies are needed to clarify the role of immune system in CKD and to expand our knowledge about the effect of uremia on the structure and function of immune system.
