RLI Summit Keynote Address: Health 3.0 - Preserving Doctor-Patient Relationships in The High Tech Era

Best-selling author and patient-centered health care authority, Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP, senior associate chair, Stanford University School of Medicine, will deliver the keynote address August 6 at the American College of Radiology’s Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) Summit. Verghese, the nationally best-selling author of Cutting for Stone, has published extensively in scientific literature, and is known for his New York Times articles "Treat the Patient, Not the CT Scan" and "Restoring the Lost Art of the Physical Exam", which coined the term "iPatient" for electronic health records. He has been elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and was the 2014 recipient of the Heinz Award for Arts and Humanities. “Dr. Verghese is a dynamic and motivating speaker. His presentation will be inspiring, provocative and challenging. Attendees will leave the Summit with a greater understanding of coming health care changes and better equipped to shape the forces that affect their practices and profession,” said Cynthia S.
