Conservative management of Warthin's tumours

Warthin's tumour is the second most common benign neoplasm of the parotid gland accounting for between 14% and 30% of all parotid tumours. It is more common in men during the sixth and seventh decades in life. These tumours have a predilection for the parotid gland and are located in its superficial portion in 90% of cases. The Warthin's tumour is usually a nodular lesion and is painless or slightly painful. The patient may complain of tinnitus, pain in the ear and deafness. The size is variable averaging 2–4cm in diameter.
